Tonight i`m showing you a short clip (at least i tried to keep it short) about a wonderful experience i`ve had Saturday night during the 38th Annual Master Photographers International Awards gala.
Long story short, it was the best night of my (photographic) life. I laughed, i cried (it was a very manly cry) and i shared a really special moment of my life with my friends. It is, so far, the peak point of my career in photography.
Saturday night, not only i`ve won in Fine Art, for the second year in a row, I also won two of the most important accolades in the industry, awards that have been won by some of my role models and photography stars over the years.
To be honest, I never thought it possible. It took me a couple of days to process what happened last weekend and I have to admit, I still experience acute impostor syndrome.
Saturday night, I became Portrait Photographer of the Year 2021 winning across all portrait categories and...it's still hard to say it...I was awarded International Master Photographer of the Year, as the overall winner of this year`s awards.
Looking at the quality of some of the work submitted, I still think it was either sheer luck or divine intervention. Or, maybe, both.
